1st Halloween!

My first: The madness over my first halloween (actually first Holiday too) started 2 weeks ago. I went for my 3 mnths// Halloween pics. At the time I was just going to wear my "First halloween" sleeper//bib and a pumpkin zip up I have. The pics turned out very cute! But then Nana decided I needed a first costume, and bought me one to look like a giraffe. So then Momma and Nana both decided I need pics taken in that, so I went through another round of photos. Trust me, one time a month is plenty... so next time, least try not to add another phot shoot! Last weekend I went with the family to a haunted trail. I dont know why everyone was screaming so loud, I found it very boring and slept through the entire thing. I did start screaming when momma took me out of my carrier to be put in a car seat, didnt they get the hint I wanted to sleep? So if this wasnt enough, Halloween night we went out again. I "Trunk or treated" Ok, well, I slept and Uncle Cody and Aunt Cassie did. Then we went on a haunted hay ride. This is a pic of me and 2 of my favorite people before getting on the tractor....

Here I am as the giraffe. Ok, so maybe I dont make the happiest giraffe, But it is my bed time, you know!

I refuse to gove momma a good pic... she has put me through enough this halloween, lol.

But once the tractor got going, momma made sure I was comfy and this is truely how I spent most the night.... Good thing momma has a good baby!!

And on another note, I just thought you would like to see an updated cuteness of me... without the costume! Here I am!! I think I am teething... cause everything sure does taste yummy! Specially my buddies, I love chewing them!!

I can say I have no complaint so far these 3 1/2 months... well... momma could hurry the bottle up faster, or entertain me when I demand it... But she says I am not the boss of her... But we both know better than that!!

I know I promised new update pics, but it seems my computer has decided other wise!! So I snuck over to my mommas, jumped on her computer... and uploading some quick sneak peak. We had Skys Halloween (3 month) pics done the other day in a cute Babys first halloween outfit, and a pumpkin sweatshirt... But Nana being Nana couldnt resist to buy him his first costume. So here it is! Though we live out in the country, we have a few Halloween plan... so this is going to be baby boos wear!! Cant wait to get pics of him out and about... and once my computer decides to live again, I promise to update the pics from what we are missing!!

I am soooo sorry that I am a blog slacker! But alot has been going on... well... kinda... Jon was switched to a 3 week rotation, so I get a lot of alone time with Sky, my baby boo.... and his is growing so fast. Can you believe today he is 13 weeks? He is soooo chunky, and whenever someone new sees him and hears his age, all reactions are the same.. "Wow, he is a big boy... not just chunky, but soo long" LoL. Its ok, I love his rolls!! So alot has changed since last time I posted, so here is a QUICK update, and then tomorrow I will try and load some pics.

He now loves his play mat- and boxes at toys
Smiles ALL the time.... but takes alittle longer for strangers to get it out of him
He is now wearing 3-6 onesies... and 6-9 sleepers. Yes, my baby boo is one loooong kiddo!
He "aboos" and "goos" all the time
He loves tummy time if you keep him busy....
He is almost to the point of rolling over
Screams bloody murder anytime you stop at a redlight/stop sign
Loves playing with his buddies
A big people watcher. If your anywhere people are he wants to be able to look around
Loves to snuggle...
Sleeps through the night... yes thats right goes to bed around 8-9 and wakes around 7 am....
Got his Halloween pics done... but threw up all over his outfit, poor kid!
Pretty sure he is starting to teeth.... cause he is drooling and chewing on everything!!
Losing a bunch of hair, but still has a thick mulit in the back, lol
Still has my blue eyes (yay!!)
Likes watching football with daddy... dunno why... guess its the contin. movement?
Thinks he is a comedian (Already living up to his Davis name like his Uncle Mark)
Can keep himself busy for 30-40 minutes.
Puts himself to sleep at night
Loves to look at books and be read too...
Thinks he is a big boy so hates being held like a baby
Loves his pacifer...
and... is a big mommas boy!!

Wow- how do they grow up so fast with out us realizing it? I promise, I am off til next Monday (but I do work 5 weeks next week, urgh!) So I will get videos//pictures up soon!! Sorry!!

Sky has been giving us random smiles since he was born. However on 9-8-09 he started smiling all the time when you talked to him. It was like this lil personality blossomed out of it over night! It was bittersweet to see though. Its so much fun having him interact with me, but it also means he is getting older! And of all days he decided to do it on a day Nana was watching him while momma went to work =( Only work 2 days out of the week, and I still missed it! But he has given lots of smiles since to make up for it. He will even smile when I am on the phone cause he thinks I am talking to him. However... even with all these smiles when I pull a camera out he will give me what we have come to call his "Frick Look" its the same face his daddy gives me often! BUT today I was FINALLY able to get him to smile for the camera! I am so excited! He has the most beautiful smile!!

And finally a beautiful smile! Yes my baby has "Baby man boobs" LoL. Last week at his 2 month check up he weighed 13.5 LBS and 23'. He got his first round of shots... did good with them, did not cry as long after as I would have thought. But he did get sick and threw up for a couples days. He has a head cold (Sneezing, coughing, running nose) so it was probably a mix of both shots and not feeling well. Other wise, he is doing great!

Nothing really to update, just thought I would share soem pics!
Here is Sky @ 5 weeks.... He is getting so chunky!

Our 6 week old baby boy!! And his lil arm rolls, lol.

And as of right now he still has baby blue eyes.... I get to claim those =)))

We had our family pic done yesterday... they turned out good! I am excited. We also were able to pick Skys newborn (16 day old pics) up. He dont even look like the same baby!! I will post some when I have more time... oh.. where does time go.... =((

A Great- Great Person

So we walked up the hill the other day to visit Skys Great-great grandma (Nanny) and his great grandma (Memaw)... as soon as we walked in Nanny wanted to "hold the baby" SO I was finally able to get their first pics together. Whenever she hold him, Sky is just memorized by her.. its really sweet! Memaw did not want any pics because she was not "dressed for pics" so I still have to work on getting those!!

Our trip to Houston....

Jonathans job sent him to Houston TX for the week... the weather staid pretty sucky... so we spent a lot of time in doors... Plus Sky has started having some bad spitting spells. However, given that we had a 5 week old baby and making a 11 hour drive.. he did wonderful. He even adjusted to being in a hotel room good! We were able to go see Jonathans rig and learn more about what he does when he is away from home.,. Not the most exciting vacation... but I enjoyed learning more about it.... =))
Being a good boy on the 11 hour ride... it only took us 12 hours with all the stopping we had to do... but once we got to the Hotel.. he was out!!

5 weeks!

Skys first palm trees! I personally love palm trees! They remind me of home... so I was excited to get this pic... lol

Sky was able to see his first beach (for as much as he would stay up anyway) Galvesting TX. Though I am a Floridian at heart and would rather have taken him home... it was still nice to experience it with him, as much as you can a 5 week old, lol. Next time we will go to Florida where he can play in the sand!!

Due to hurricane season the rig is brought into the ship yard for maintence work. Since we were in Houston so that Jonathan could do schooling for the company, we were able to see the actual rig he works on. It was actually pretty neat because usually the rig is out in the Gulf 100 miles off the coast and other wise we would never see it in oerson..... This is where Jonathan lives ever 3 weeks when he goes out to work.... I dont envy him at all!! (Thats the rig in the backgroud)

Learning about Daddys job... what he does//how he lives when he is away at work for soo long

Taking the ferry to crystal beach... so we can head home.... a looong 12 hour ride.

In Houston

On Monday we left to come down to Houston TX.... Jonathans job offered a school that he was able to attend down in Houston, so off all 3 of us came. It is a 11 hour drive... but with Sky I imagined it to be much, much longer. However, we did make it in 12 hours, almost to the minute, so I am not complaining!! Sky did better than I ever expected him too. He would wake on his own for his ever 2 1/2 hour feeding, like he does at home. We would stop, feed//change and put him right back in the car seat. He would then stay awake on his own anywhere from 30-60+ minutes. (At home I would have to fight to keep him up!!) Then he would either cry for just a minute or simply go to sleep to repeat the cycle!! I did get thrown up on//3 messy diapers and 1 pee mess... but other than that he was smooth. The Gripe water really seemed to help with him when he would start to fuss over gas. He also did good with his sleeping arrangments, he is usually in a bassinet but we only brought the pack n play which has a flat surface to sleep, and he did his new routine... first time down 3 hours, then back to the 2 hour cycle. But I cant complain! Well, I dont have any pics right now to share, but when we get home, I will put some up. Jonathan will be home for a nother week after this, and then he starts his 3 weeks rotation, which I am not looking forward too... but hopefully it will go fast

Random Update

Skyler went to the Dr about his constipatin probs. First thing to try is adding apple juice to 2 bottles of milk daily and see if that helps.... last night it did =) However- his pedi thinks that he might be showing sign of being colicy... which means a long road ahead of me when Jonathan is working... good news is... they do tend to grow out of it around 3 months. He is gaining weight like crazy... He is now 9.5! Almost out of newborn diapers.... and that is heart breaking to me... why cant they stay tiny for just a little longer!! He is starting to have more awake time, and I love it! He is bright eyes, and beautiful..... here are some pics....

We did get to spend some time with his Aunts yesterday and of course there was alot of picture taken. (Nana and the twins were there too... but they were not as into getting their picture taken...) I think given the choice Sky would have sat out too, lol. Tomorrow we are going to get the 5 generation picture taken! How exciting...

Moms- I need advice =(

For the past week Sky has been SUPER fussy with constipation issues.... Its only getting worse!! His pedi said to add some Karo syrup to the formula 3 times daily, been doing that, but he is still not him self... anyone else had this problem with a little one? He just passed 3 weeks... so anything you can suggest thats safe for him... I am would gladely take.... My 2 hour nap windows at night have turned into 30 minutes or less, depending on when his tummy starts to cramp.....

Oh how I took sleep for granted.

So bath time with Skyler has been..... stressful... in his baby bath tub ecerytime you put him in he would scream to the top of his lungs, which would then make my anxiety double, lol.... so I was telling my mom about this.... and she found the perfect solutin!! This awsome bath chair....

My bath tub is big enough to set this chair in AND I can get in too and soak (which I have not been doing, and my stitches are healing sooo slowwww...) He did not cry ONE time... he loved it!! And I can soak with out him screaming like he does when I am in the shower (thank goodness for growing my hair out so i could have a mom pony tail, lol)

And he even waited patiently for my to get his bedtime stuff together to dress/feed/rock him to sleep. How sweet!!

THANKS NANA!!!! It was an awsome idea!!!

Tummy Troubles

My poor boy has been haveing bad BAD tummy problems lately... every night between 7-9 he goes through a BAD crying spell... so lately we have been doing some tummy time to get a back rub and it has calmed him down lots.... I just love the little booty sticking up!!

My bright eyed baby boy. He is usually up early morning and late evening for a visit with the family. For 17 days old, he is alert and sweet. I love getting his sugar!!

But most if the time, he snoozes, but thats ok... cause its still sweet sugar! We went to MS so he could meet his Poppy. We also got his newborn pics done, they turned out good. When we get them in, I will post some.

BUT finally his belly button cord stump FINALLY came off. It looks good!

Today we got home to find a package on the porch from Jonathans Dad and family in MN!! They sent Skyler a "Shower in the box" since they live so far away. Here is Skyler with his box of goodies... he looks super interested! LoL- He got a bunch of nice thing. Thank you everyone!!

Skyler is doing good- after the spell of jaundice he is doing good. He has a pretty coloring again! And is a very easy going lil guy!!

He turned 2 weeks today, and I have no idea where the time goes!! He is back to his birth weight 8lbs even!

His daddy is starting him early as a Bama fan. He has a onesie(its to big right now) Bib- Hat- Booties- PAcifer and rattle. LoL

And I just love this pic... sporting his mini hawk! I love that he has so much hair!! It makes all the heart burn worth it!!

I never imagined that I would fall in love with this lil guy as much as I have. I am so in love with being a mommy. It still seems unreal most the time. I miss the belly of being pregnant- even though I complained all the time at the end- Labor && delivery was not that bad- even though I am still pretty messed up from the delivery.... and the sleepless nights... who cares when I get to cuddle with Skyler. I just hope the next weeks I am home do not go as fast as these 2 have!!

Really Close!

Danielle is now 8 cm and 100%. The Doctor said the baby is right there in place and when he checked her he could feel the baby pushing back. So she is definitely really close. The Doctor is staying near by and told Danielle to call him back in when she feels the urge to push. Then it's time to go!!

I got a text from Danielle almost an hour ago that said she was 7 1/2 cm and 90%!! Since that was close to an hour ago, I'm guessing she has progressed even more by now. Hopefully the next update will be that it's time to push!!

Its time for a another update. Things are moving quicker now, she is dialated 6cm and 80% thinned. Shouldn't be too much longer now. Still a bit of a concern for her bloodpressure and the babies heartrate, they are being watched very close and only Jon and Robin (Dani's mom) will be allowed in the room at this point, but really, your mother and your husband at your bedside, what more can a girl ask for.....well maybe your aunt Kim. I will blog soon, and will post pics as soon as he makes his entrance

Since getting the epideral, Danielle's blood pressure has dropped lower than the Doctor would like it to be. The babies heart beat also seems to be a little stressed so they are watching her pretty closely and keeping her on oxygen right now. She is at 4 cm so the nurse said it still may be several hours. Hopfully they can get Danielle and the baby nice and stable again, but I will let you know if something changes.

I just got a call that they have been giving Danielle the Pitosin for awhile now and contractions are picking up. They have just given her an epideral so hopefully she is feeling nice and comfy at this point :) Now that she isn't in as much pain, they will go ahead and turn the pitosin up again. Hopefully we're getting closer!!

Morning Update :)

This is Danielle's cousin Laci updating so I apologize in advance if my details aren't quite right. I get them through a phone chain lol Danielle tells her mom who tells my mom who tells me!

So from what I have been told..

Last night they gave Danielle a second application of the medicine that will help her cervix thin out. Since she hadn't been progressing much from the walking they sent the family home so that Danielle could get a good night sleep.

This morning, they went ahead and broke her water and last I heard (around 8:30 or so TN time) they would be starting Pitosin soon to get some contractions coming.

The hospital doesn't have wireless internet, so they aren't going to be able to add as many pictures as we were hoping. I will update every time I hear something so you can still check to see what's going on. Also, my mom promised she would go take pics of the baby as soon as he arrives. Hopefully she will be able to email them to me to post or find a way to post them herself.

Soooo, we are walking with Danielle, waiting for stronger contractions. We are very excited about the arrival of Skyler and he seems to be taking his time. But Danielle has always taken her time so this is to be expected. Meanwhile, her mom and antie met with her doctor and boy is he cute!!! Anyway we believe she is in good hands. We will blog soon, though the hospital doesn't have internet so it may be a little while.

First of all- Thank you Laci fir setting this up for us!! Now hopefully we can keep it updated!!

I really just wanted to try it out- see how it worked... and just put the latest Dr update on here... even though most of you guys received the text of the news!!

Ok- So we had a Dr apt this morning, and my BP was still up. Our OB Dr has decided to send us in to induce tomorrow morning, 9 AM. I am still only dilated 2 and effaced 60%. He said he is not as worried about the diltaing as he is how much I am thinned. He would like that number to be better... so they are going to try some cervical cream that takes up to 12 hours to work. From what he says, I could even need a 2nd round... plus delivery, so this could turn into a lengthy process! I am still having regular contractions.. and he believes that once I am thinned out more, the contractions will actually start to do someting more than just make me uncomfy! We will see!!

And as for many of you guys that are wondering YES Jonathan made it home!! He came in Friday after I called him cause of the problems I was having Thursdays. My mom is back in town and the Dr is back in the country! So everyone is in and ready... just waiting on Skyler.

And the final name is Skyler Davis Artie Frick!! Davis is for my moms family (its her madien name- and we recently lost her baby brother so I wanted to name him for him) And Artie my great-great grandmothers madien name... and it has been passed down to my mother and a close cousin of mine =) so I wanted to carry it on for them! We are still in the process of getting Frick changed to "VonFrick" due to the mix up on Jonathans birth certificate, but that will come later!
